Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how Paltrixs Enterprises ("Akdu", "we") collects and uses your personal data when you use akdu.in. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Data we collect
- Account details: name, email address and mobile number.
- Order details: delivery address, products ordered, order history and invoices.
- Payment details: the payment method and status. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure page; we never see or store them.
- Messages: what you send us through the contact form or email.
- Usage data: pages viewed, products added to the cart and checkout steps, linked to a cookie on your device, device type and IP address. We use this to run the store, prevent fraud and help customers who get stuck while paying.
Why we use it
- To create your account, process and deliver orders, send order updates and invoices, and handle returns and refunds.
- To answer your questions and complaints.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
- To meet legal obligations, such as GST records.
- To send offers by email, only if you agreed to receive them. Every offer email has an unsubscribe link.
- With your consent, to measure visits and ads (for example Google Analytics and Meta Pixel). You can accept or decline these cookies in the cookie banner.
Consent
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account, place an order, submit a form or accept cookies, and for legitimate uses permitted by law. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; this does not affect processing already done.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed, with: Razorpay (payments), courier partners (delivery), our email and hosting providers (Hostinger), and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google and Meta. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data when required by law.
How long we keep it
Account and order records are kept as long as your account is active and for up to 8 years after the last order, as required for tax and accounting. Usage data is kept for up to 2 years. Data that is no longer needed is deleted.
Your rights
You have the right to access a summary of your personal data, correct or update it, ask us to erase it (unless we must keep it by law), withdraw consent, nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf, and raise a grievance. Write to support@akdu.in and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and protect forms. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you accept them.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, codes instead of passwords for customers, and access controls for our staff. No method is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will inform you and the authorities of a breach as required by law.
Children
Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 without verifiable parental consent.
